How long should I put French Bread Pizza in the oven?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: pizza oven

I set the oven to 350 degrees, but I’m not sure how long the pizza needs to stay in there.

If it’s frozen, start with 20 minutes. If it’s fresh, check it after 10

PIZZA UNOS DEEP PAN CHICAGO STYLE PIZZA
Source: The Pizza Book: Everything There Is To Know About the World’s Greatest Pie by Evelyne Slomon
Servings: 6

FOR THE CRUST:
1 cup warm tap water (110-115 degrees f)
1 pkg active dry yeast
3 1/2 cups flour, divided use
1/2 cup coarse ground cornmeal
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
FOR THE FILLING:
1 lb sausage, removed from the casing and crumbled
1 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes, drained and coarsely crushed
3 tsp dried oregano (or 5 fresh basil leaves, shredded
4 tbsp freshly grated parmesan

TO PREPARE THE CRUST:
Pour the warm water into a large mixing bowl and dissolve the yeast with a fork. Add 1 cup of flour, all of the cornmeal, salt, and, and vegetable oil. Mix well with a spoon. Continue stirring in the rest of the flour 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough comes away from the sides of the bowl.

Flour your hands and the work surface and knead the ball of dough until it is no longer sticky.

Let the dough rise in an oiled bowl, sealed with plastic wrap, for 45 to 60 minutes in a warm place, until it is doubled in bulk.

Punch dough down and knead it briefly. Press it into an oiled 15-inch deep dish pizza pan, until it comes 2 inches up the sides and is even on the bottom of the pan. Let the dough rise 15-20 minutes before filling.

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.

TO PREPARE THE FILLING:
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling ingredients. Cook the crumbled sausage until it is no longer pink, drain it of its excess fat; set aside.

TO ASSEMBLE AND BAKE:
When the dough has finished its second rising, lay the mozzarella cheese over the dough shell. Then distribute the sausage and garlic over the cheese. Top with the tomatoes. Sprinkle on the seasonings and parmesan cheese.

Bake for 15 minutes at 500 degrees.

Then lower the oven temperature to 400 degrees and bake for 25 to 35 minutes longer. Lift up a section of the crust from time to time with a spatula to check on its color. The crust will be golden brown when done. Serve immediately

How many Pizzas per hour can be produced with a Commercial Pizza Oven?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: pizza oven

Just purchased a single deck ceramic brick pizza oven that is propane powered. I know it can cook 3 pizzas at one time, but what is the cook time on a commercial oven, and how many pizzas can be produced per hour. Is there a way to improve the output?

What is the diference between a wood fired pizza oven and pizza stone?????

Posted by: admin  /  Category: pizza oven

i really would like to know how they work like wih temprature and stff and how long it takes to cook a pizza with hem

a wood fired pizza oven cooks at an average middle temperature of 600 to 700 degrees F. a pizza stone is simply an addition to your home oven and will bake a pizza at what ever you set the oven to. Most commonly 400 to 450 degree range. a wood fired oven can bake a regular drust pizza in about 4 to 6 minutes. in your oven on a pizza stone it can take 14 to 18 minutes for the same pizza. A wood fired pizza oven is very expensive but has a far superior flavor and you can bake breads that are amazing in it to.

Is it safe to put wood in a regular oven to make wood oven pizza at home?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: pizza oven

Is it safe, or will the wood catch on fire?
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The oven is a regular kitchen oven.
Also what type of wood should be used?

"wood oven pizza" is more commonly referred to as ‘Wood Fired Pizza" > If I am guessing correctly, you are referring to the same kind of pizza that places like Sammy’s and California Pizza Kitchen make in a big indoor wood BURNING oven. That is the actual meaning of Wood Fired Pizza. It is done in a large oven lined with firebricks (or similar construction) and burns various kinds of wood to add a smoky flavor to the pizza. NO you cannot do this in a home oven, unless you plan on making enough for the local fire dept. to chow down after they (hopefully) save your house. One of the other answers mentioned a pizza stone, those are good to use in an oven as they help crisp the bottom of the pizza. You can do it on an outdoor BBQ grill, with woodchips (used the same way for adding smoke flavor to steaks). You might look at this page for a good one.

How do I keep melted cheese from dripping off of my pizza onto the oven bottom and smoking up the house?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: pizza oven

We like to make take and bake pizzas at home. We always have trouble with the melted cheese dripping to the bottom of the oven. It makes a horrible smokey mess. How can I keep from smoking up the house on pizza night?

Well, you are going to have to buy some oven cleaner and follow the instructions and clean your oven to get the old burnt on stuff off….Then you could line the bottom of your oven with some foil when cooking pizza and then you can throw out the gooey cheesy mess when you are done.

Where can I buy repair parts for my Presto pizza oven?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: pizza oven

I have checked the internet search engines and no solid answers. I am redirected one way and then end up in a porn section or something totally off base. Most parts companies demand part number and model # of part. That is the problem, the thermal unit switch is burnt (it is like a circuit breaker, reset switch). Parts companies seem to be all computerize and can deal with a part description with out a number. I would appreciate some help. I even tried the Presto company and got redirected.

You are in luck. Presto does not make the thermal breaker. They buy the component from an outside supplier.

The breaker will have markings on it as to how many amps in maintains. Search say, "thermal breaker 15A" you will get to places like this:

http://www.google.com/products?q=thermal+breaker+15a&hl=en&aq=f

I bet you will find it for less then Presto would charge you for it.

Good Luck!

How long should i put my pizza in the oven?

I wanna put my pizza in the oven to reheat it,how long should i put it in for?

First wrap it in foil so that it does not dry out. Heat your oven at 350 F for 10 min. then reheat your pizza for about 10 min. To see if it is ready just open the foil a bit and peek in. Bon Appetite!
